A body discovered Tuesday morning in Brattleboro, Vt., has tentatively been identified as 23-year-old Mary Anderson of Harvard, State Police said in a statement Tuesday.
According to the Harvard Police Department, Anderson was first reported missing on Sunday at about 5 p.m. Before her disappearance was reported, Harvard Police said she has last seen at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Hudson, N.H.
State Police said the body believed to be Anderson’s was located inside of her pickup truck, which police were seeking as part of the missing persons investigation.

According to State Police, they are looking to locate and speak with 34-year-old Matthew Davis of Fitchburg. Davis is Anderson’s former boyfriend and has connections to the Pittsfield area. He is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes.

Massachusetts State Police are assisting Vermont State Police in the ongoing investigation into Anderson’s disappearance and death. State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and Harvard, Mass., Police continue to investigate the circumstances of her disappearance. They were assisted by the State Police Special Emergency Response Team, a unit specially-trained in outdoor evidentiary searches.
