Boston Police have released more images of suspects believed to have shot up the area around Charlestown High School last month, disrupting graduation ceremonies.
It’s the second release of photographs of suspected gunmen, as the police department had released images the day after the June 13 shots-fired call.
While no injuries were reported following the 3:56 p.m. gunfire in the area of Walford Way and Polk Street in Charlestown, police say they found bullet damage to vehicles and to a Polk Street apartment.
The earlier photos released was a montage that showed suspects crossing the street and climbing over chain link fence as well as a suspect vehicle that looks to be a blue or dark-colored sedan that appears to be a Honda of some model.
June’s shots-fired incident was the second gun-related incident in as many months at or near the high school. The school shut down on May 19 when two guns were located in the school.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested after he was found to have a 9mm Glock in school, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said, and then police found another gun in a different area, prompting a full sweep of the school. They later arrested a 17-year-old boy for the second gun.
Police ask that anyone with any information on the gunfire or the suspects contact detectives at 617-343-4571. People can tip anonymously through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
