Rowdy’s airport vacation is over.
The 4-year-old black cat has been dodging airport and airline workers at Boston Logan International Airport for about three weeks after running from her family’s Lufthansa flight when it arrived June 24. The family had returned from 15 years in Germany with the Army.
It remained a game of cat and mouse until she was finally caught Wednesday and then returned to her family
“Whether out of fatigue or hunger, we’ll never know, but this morning she finally let herself be caught,” Jennifer Mehigan, spokeswoman for Massport, said Wednesday.
Owner Patty Sahli told the AP that she was “kind of in disbelief.”
“I thought, ‘What are the odds we’re actually going to get her back?’ But I got a call this morning and I am just so shocked,” she added.
“It was such a community effort,” said Sahli, who is originally from New Hampshire and is moving to Florida. “We’re just so grateful to everyone who helped look for her.”
